01Agreement
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lootz website at lootz.xyz, the Lootz game and every related service (together, "Lootz", "we", "us"). By connecting a wallet, buying a box, buying VIP or otherwise using Lootz, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Lootz.
Lootz is a game of chance played with real crypto assets. Please read these Terms carefully, together with our Responsible Gaming page.
02Eligibility
To use Lootz you must:
- be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
- have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
- not be a person who is barred from using Lootz under any law or sanctions program that applies to you or to us.
Online games of chance are restricted or prohibited in some places. You alone are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including any tax obligations on your winnings. Lootz is void where prohibited. Making Lootz available online is not an offer or invitation to use it anywhere it would be unlawful.
03Wallets and self-custody
Lootz does not hold accounts or balances for you. Your wallet is your identity on Lootz. You play by sending payments from a wallet you control, and payouts are sent back to that wallet.
- You are solely responsible for your wallet, its private keys, seed phrase and devices. We can never recover lost keys or reverse a transaction.
- Wallets are provided by third parties, including wallets created through email or social sign in. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability or security.
- Signing a message to open a session is free and does not move funds. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not Lootz.
04How purchases work
Lootz runs on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum. Boxes come in tiers (currently Bronze, Silver and Gold) and you can buy one or several boxes in a single payment, up to the maximum shown in the game.
- Priced in USD, paid in native crypto. Box and VIP prices are set in US dollars. When you buy, we give you a quote that converts the USD price into the native coin of the network you chose (for example SOL, ETH, BNB or POL) at a current market rate.
- Quotes expire. Each quote is valid for a short time window shown in the game. Your payment must match the quoted amount and reach the network within that window.
- Network fees. You pay the normal network (gas) fee for your own transaction. Those fees go to the network, not to Lootz.
- Final once confirmed. A box is purchased once your payment is confirmed on chain and matched to your quote. Purchases cannot be cancelled or reversed after that point.
- Prices, tiers, available networks and limits may change at any time. Changes never affect a quote that has already been paid on time.
05Every box pays out
Our promise is "no empty boxes". Every purchased box returns a payout in the same native coin you paid with. Outcomes are grouped into tiers, from Common up to Jackpot.
- Outcomes range from a portion of the box price up to large multiples of it. Many boxes return less than their price. Some return more, and a few return a lot more.
- "Every box pays out" means you always receive something. It does not mean you will get back what you paid, or make a profit.
- Over time, the total paid out to players is lower than the total paid in. Lootz is entertainment, not a way to earn money.
06Outcomes and fairness
Each box outcome is determined by a provably fair random process. The odds and the highest multiplier used for your box are recorded with it and can be checked on the Fairness page.
- Provably fair. Every wallet has a secret server seed whose cryptographic commitment (hash) is published before it is used, plus a client seed you can change at any time, plus a counter for each box. After the server seed is rotated it is revealed, so anyone can recompute the random values of past boxes and check them on the Fairness page.
- Odds. The odds of each outcome tier may differ between networks and over time. The exact odds used for your box are recorded with it. Lootz may adjust the settings behind them over time.
- Maximum payout. Every box has a highest multiplier it can pay, recorded with the box. If a drawn outcome would exceed it, the box pays at that limit and is shown at the matching tier.
- Neither you nor we can choose or change the outcome of a box once it has been paid for. The result recorded for your box is final.
07Protocol fee
A protocol fee applies to every box. It is a percentage of each box price, set by Lootz and subject to change, and it is already included in the price you see. The protocol fee funds the operation of Lootz, including development, infrastructure, security and support.
The protocol fee is separate from the network fees you pay to the blockchain. Changes to the protocol fee apply only to boxes bought after the change.
08Payouts
- Automatic. Payouts are sent automatically to the wallet that paid for the box. There is no claim step. When you buy several boxes in one payment, the total payout is sent in one transfer.
- On-chain timing. Payouts are blockchain transactions. Network congestion, outages or reorganizations can delay them. We are not responsible for delays caused by a network.
- Retries. If a payout transaction fails, Lootz retries it automatically.
- Pending payouts. If a payout cannot be completed in full right away, the unpaid part is recorded as pending and sent automatically as soon as possible. You can follow the status in your history.
- Payouts cannot be redirected to a different wallet. Make sure you pay from a wallet that can receive funds on that network.
09Unmatched payments and refunds
Some payments cannot be matched to a valid quote automatically, for example payments that:
- are for the wrong amount;
- arrive after the quote expired;
- are sent to the wrong address or on the wrong network;
- are routed through smart contracts, bridges, exchanges or other intermediaries instead of coming directly from your wallet.
These payments are reviewed manually. Where we can identify the sender and the funds reached a Lootz wallet, we may refund them to the sending wallet minus network fees, or, at our discretion, process the purchase. We cannot recover funds sent to addresses we do not control. Except for these cases, box and VIP purchases are not refundable.
10VIP subscription
- Term. VIP lasts 30 days from the moment your payment is confirmed. It does not renew automatically.
- Stacking. Buying VIP again while it is active adds 30 days to the end of your current period.
- Perks. VIP includes a VIP badge shown next to your name, and one free Bronze box per UTC day while VIP is active. Opening a free box requires signing in with your wallet. Unused daily free boxes do not carry over.
- Mystery boxes. A free box may pay 1 to 3 Mystery boxes of the same tier instead of coins. The count is determined by the box's provably fair roll. Each Mystery box unlocks after a waiting period (24 hours by default, which may change). Once unlocked, it opens like a free box of that tier under the same rules, including this one. Mystery boxes have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- Non-refundable. VIP purchases are final and non-refundable, including for unused days. VIP price and perks may change for future purchases.
11Not investment advice
Lootz is a game. Nothing on Lootz is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Boxes, payouts, VIP and any other feature are not securities, investments, deposits or financial products, and they do not give you any ownership, share of profits or claim on Lootz or its funds.
12Risks
By using Lootz you understand and accept that:
- you can lose part or all of what you spend, and past results never predict future ones;
- crypto prices are volatile, so the USD value of a payout can change after you receive it;
- blockchains, wallets (including smart wallets and embedded wallets), bridges, RPC providers and price sources can fail, be attacked, be congested or change their rules;
- software can contain bugs despite testing, and transactions are irreversible;
- laws and regulations about crypto and games of chance can change and may affect your ability to use Lootz.
13Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- use Lootz where it is illegal for you, or if you are under 18;
- use funds that come from illegal activity, or use Lootz to launder money or finance unlawful activity;
- exploit bugs, errors or vulnerabilities, or try to predict, influence or manipulate outcomes, prices or quotes;
- use bots, scripts or automation to gain an unfair advantage or to overload the service;
- interfere with, attack or reverse engineer Lootz, its contracts, its servers or its wallets;
- impersonate others, or choose usernames or avatars that are offensive, misleading or infringe the rights of others;
- use the contact form or any other channel to send spam or abuse.
If you find a bug or a security issue, please report it to us privately at hello@lootz.xyz.
14Suspension
We may suspend, limit or end your access to Lootz, hide or reset your username or avatar, pause a network, or pause the whole service, at any time and without notice, including to comply with the law, protect players or the service, investigate abuse, or perform maintenance.
If we find that a box was bought or won in breach of these Terms or through an error or exploit, we may withhold or reverse the related payout where technically possible. Payouts already owed to you for legitimate play remain owed.
15Intellectual property
Lootz, its name, logo, artwork, 3D models, music, sound and software belong to Lootz or its licensors. You may use Lootz for personal entertainment. You may not copy, resell or create derivative products from it without our written permission. Network names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify supported networks.
16Disclaimers
Lootz is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that Lootz will be uninterrupted, error free or secure. Displayed USD values are estimates for your convenience only.
17Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lootz and its operators, contributors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or crypto assets, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Lootz.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Lootz is limited to the amount you paid to Lootz for the box or VIP purchase that gave rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lootz harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of others.
18Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted in the game, and you may be asked to accept them again. Continuing to use Lootz after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
19Governing terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any rules shown in the game, are the entire agreement between you and Lootz about your use of Lootz. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply in the place where the operator of Lootz is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails.
